Burnham Beeches is a National Nature Reserve and candidate Special Area of Conservation in South Buckinghamshire, UK. To better understand management problems associated with high visitor pressure, dog walking and visitor number surveys were conducted at this site. The present paper attempts to share knowledge in terms of techniques used, outcomes and their future usefulness for management.
